Strong building vibrations can have a negative impact on the image quality of an MRI system. If there is a risk of strong vibrations at the location of the MRI system, an appropriate vibration measurement in accordance with DIN 45669 is recommended. This consists of a highly sensitive triaxial vibration transducer with which the building vibrations are measured simultaneously in the three spatial axes. The vibration spectrum required to assess the vibrations is determined from the time domain measurement using FFT. Appropriate measures must be taken into account when planning the HF cabin.
